Match Report by Deck Shoe Wolf

Wolves are fast earning the tag of worst premiership team ever as they fell to another crushing defeat at the hands of Chelski.

Red Ron's Russian Revolution rolled into town looking to build on a good champions league win in midweek. Ranieri opted for a 4-4-2 formation with Gudjonsson and Hasslebaink upfront leaving Crespo on the bench. DJ welcomed back Iverson upfront. A long afternoon beckoned for the Gold and Black faithful.

Wolves didn't seem to be over-awed by the Chelsea all stars and more than matched them early on with Newton showing some neat touches on the right flank.

However, Chelsea looked to have the cutting edge that £100,000,000 buys you and had a goal ruled out on 9 minutes. England defender Terry scored after 2 attempts from Gronkjaer's corner only for Ref Messias to penalize the Chelsea man for pushing.

Wolves were struggling to make a breakthrough. Naylor summed up Wolves attacking potency by hitting a tame free kick into the Chelsea wall.

Chelsea's class was starting to show through and it was no surprise when Lampard fired the Blue's (playing in white) ahead on 17 minutes. The ex West Ham combined with with Gudjonsson and Hasslebaink before hitting a sweet strike from 25 yards leaving Oakes in no man's land. Wolves 0 Chelsea 1

Wolves defense were finding it hard to cope with Chelsea's fluent attacking. A task not made easier when Butler was harshly booked for a tame challenge on Hasslebaink. The majority of the fans inside Molineux made Ref Messias know what they thought of his decision.

Wolves were still finding chances hard to come by with Iverson often left isolated upfront, while Chelsea went close to doubling their lead through Gronkjear and Lampard. Chelsea finally did make it 2 on 36 minutes. Hasslebaink linked up well with Duff to slice through the Wolves defense. The flying Dutch man made no mistake as he lashed in a fierce drive.Wolves 0 Chelsea 2

Chelsea went through the motions in a comfortable end to the half. The frustration got the better of Ince who was booked late on for a crude challenge on Johnson.

DJ failed to make a change and so did the pattern of the game. Oakes had to be alert to deny Gudjonsson with a great save. Iverson was doing a spirited job upfront and caused Chelsea a couple of problems early in the half.

Chelsea killed off Wolves ruthlessly on 52 minutes the impressive Duff back heeled the ball into the net with good work from Gudjonsson.Wolves 0 Chelsea 3

Surprisingly the third goal prompted Wolves best spell of the game. Camara was denied by Cudicini and Joey Gudjonsson sent a crisp dipping volley just wide. Both teams made changes wolves brought on Cameron for Newton.

Chelsea brought on Cole and Crespo in an attempt to bolster the 'goals for' column. The long haired Crespo received the inevitable "Gypo, Gypo" taunts from the Wolves fans. His answer was emphatic as the Argentine slotted home after only a couple of minutes on the pitch. Wolves 0 Chelsea 4

As the final whistle grew closer Wolves went agonizingly close to breaking their goal drought. Butler and Iverson both saw headers hit the bar in the same goal mouth scramble.

Chelsea compounded Wolves misery when the girlie haired Crespo made it 5. He beat Oakes easily after receiving a pass from Gallas. Wolves 0 Chelsea 5

Once again Wolves have been out classed and looked painfully weak in all areas. A summer of inept transfer activity is already taking it's toll on our battle for survival.
