I haven't seen these two stories anywhere else on the net, so I thought I'd put them up, as they shed some light on last season, and hopefully offer some hope for next season. They come from two different, but equally reliable "inside" sources. Firstly I have been told that before our spectacular end-of-season collapse, Rae and Cameron went to see Dave Jones and said that either Muscat leaves or they will. I'm not a Muscat fan, less now that he has done the dirty on us, but this probably explains why he had to go. It also shows that there was unrest in the team that hopefully we have seen the back of. The second story concerns Dave Jones, just after his post-season meeting with Jez Moxey and the board where he had to explain what happened. Apparently there was a Birmingham City supporter at Molineux for some charity match or something. When he saw Jones the Brum supporter started giving him some friendly banter, but Dave Jones snapped back saying, amongst other less-printable comments "you only got in through the back door". It was out of Dave Jones normally-placid character and he soon apologised afterwards ("It's been a bad day"). But it does show that he is angry about what happened, and so , hopefully he'll be determined to sort it out for next season. |
